A plain-language summary of how SOCELLE handles information across this site — the public pages, the free growth check, your professional profile, the newsletter, the jobs board, and the outbound links to partners. This is a summary, not legal advice — contact us any time with questions.
SOCELLE (operated by [LEGAL ENTITY — to be completed]) is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@socelle.com. Where the law requires it, we may appoint a representative in the EU or UK (GDPR Art. 27); if one is appointed, we will name them here.
What we collect
Identifiers and contact details (name, email, business name); your professional profile and any résumé you upload; usage and device data (IP, browser/user-agent); and inferences we draw to match you to jobs. Why we collect it
To run the network and your profile, to match you to opportunities, to communicate with you (replies, the digest you asked for), and — only with your consent — for product analytics. We do not sell it
We do not sell your personal information and have not sold it for cross-context behavioral advertising.Your controls
Read the full policy below, manage cookies through “Cookie preferences” in the footer, and use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer to opt out of analytics sharing. We collect information in a few ways, depending on how you use SOCELLE:
When you contact us or request a free growth check
The details you provide — your name, email, business name, and the menu, website, product, booking, service, or launch information you choose to share.
When you create a professional profile or account
Your account email and the profile details you choose to add — for example your name, headline, location, role, links to your work, and, if you add it, your professional license state. You control what your profile shows, and you choose, field by field, what is public. Account sign-in is handled by our authentication provider.
When you follow people or companies, or save jobs
We record the follows and saves you create so we can show you your network and your saved roles, and so other members can see their follower counts.
When you subscribe to the newsletter
Your email address, the source page you subscribed from, and the time of sign-up, so we can send the digest and honor unsubscribe requests.
When you click an “Apply” or partner link
When you apply to a role or follow an outbound partner link (routed through socelle.com/go), we log the click — the role or destination, the referring page, and your browser’s user-agent. We do this to measure interest, keep the board honest, and account for affiliate referrals. See our Affiliate & Partner Disclosure for how affiliate links work.
Automatically, as you browse
Basic technical data such as IP address and browser/user-agent, to operate and secure the site. We are also adding privacy-conscious product analytics to understand which pages are useful and improve them; where that is in place, it is covered by the cookies & tracking section below.
We use your information to provide the service you asked for: to prepare your free read and follow up, to run your profile and network, to send the newsletter you subscribed to, to operate the jobs board, and to keep the site secure and working well. We use click and analytics data in aggregate to understand what is useful and to account for affiliate referrals — not to build advertising profiles of you.
Your professional profile is the part of SOCELLE designed to be seen — but only the fields you choose to make public, and only through a column-limited public view that honors your per-field visibility settings. Everything else — your account email, your saved jobs, who you follow, what you submit through a form, and your newsletter subscription — is not published.
We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only with the service providers that help us run SOCELLE — named below — under confidentiality and only to operate the service, or where the law requires it. Some privacy laws (such as California’s) treat passing data to analytics providers as “sharing.” You can opt out of that analytics use at any time through the cookie banner — see “Cookies & tracking.”
A résumé you upload may contain sensitive personal information. We use it for one purpose only — to build your member profile and match you to opportunities, a permitted business purpose. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you, and we never use it for advertising. You can delete your résumé at any time from your account under Privacy & data, and you may also contact us at hello@socelle.com to limit our use of sensitive personal information.

We’d appreciate the chance to address your concern first. We keep your account, profile, and any résumé data until you delete it (or delete your account), after which we remove it from active systems. Analytics data is retained for roughly 14–26 months. Lead and contact records from forms are kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry and our records of it. We are still finalizing exact retention periods; if you want your data removed sooner, you can delete your account or email hello@socelle.com.
SOCELLE is operated from the United States, and the data we collect is stored and processed in the United States. If you access SOCELLE from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., and by using the service you consent to that processing.
SOCELLE is built for beauty and wellness professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. You must be 18 or older to create an account or use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a minor has given us their information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
